When Inger gets bored..

 The sun was shining, I was super restless and wanted to make a summerly cake, but had no-one to make a cake for, so then I just made an uneatable one :) ..Or, the outside is eatable, but the inside is not..

The Mad Hatter and I..

Had seen "Alice in Wonderland" for the I-dont-know-how-many-times time the day before, and got inspired to make a Mad Hatter Cake. Also known as a Whimsical -and Topsy Turvy Cake.. Did'nt have enough cake to make more tiers, but they look cool anyway. I love Mad Hatter Cakes.. and the Mad Hatter.. and Johnny Depp :)

Did'nt really have time to make a b-day-cake for my self.. but.. just had to do it anyway!
Since it was my cake I wanted to test out some new stuff.. This is my first squere cake and covering that with fondant was'nt the easiest thing to do, but after some love and cuddeling I got it all covered.
The decoration made it self ;) I'm a huge fan of the colour pink, Tim Burton and creatures from the fantasy world so all in one - this was the result!
..I dont like cake.. but the lovely people I work with do, so I'll let them make it dissapear :)

3, 2, 1.... LET IT RIP! ..in your tummy ;)

This is a "Beyblade" inspired cake I made for a Beyblade lover turning 6..
Cant say I knew what I was getting my self into when I decided to go for that theme insted of soccer..
But started google'ing.. and it is a Japanese toythingy that spins - it's acctually a very cool toy (well of course- it's japanese) and the shape of it is perfect for a cake so I went for it! And because I did'nt know wich Beyblade was birthdayboy's favorite, I made one up ;)

So it is a lot of mess in this pictures.. Thats how it goes when you have about 2 hours (wich is zero time forme cause I'm such a perfectionist and cause things need to set) to carve, get things even, fill, coat, cover, get things even, make decorations AND decorate the cake...
But I did it :)
This cake was going out 7.30 pm - SATURDAY... But friday afternoon i ran in to the lady who ordered it and she said with a little nervous smile: "Inger, did I say I was gonna have the cake for tomorrow... uuuuuuh... that was wrong.. I need it today..!? Is that ok?
(IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIK) Sure thats ok...?!
So running down the doors at home, clock closing in on 5 - Stressed out?.. Nono! I'm the queen of calm.. Yeah right..
Fondant, rollers, flowers and confectioner sugar flying around.. And of course I met all the bumbs in the road during the process.. Suddenly 2 hours was gone and I was still decorating when the lady came to pick it up.. supernervous that the decorations had'nt glued it self on properly, but had to send it off with fingers and toes crossed.. and everything went fine thank God!
Because of the short time I had, I did'nt get to do all I had planned, but the cake was cute and birthday girl was very happy :)
